Fantasy MC

Fantasy MC is a modpack for Minecraft: Java Edition 1.21.1 that keeps the vanilla game and weaves fantasy into it. Travel to new realms, defeat twelve bosses to open the End, learn magic, and meet villagers with errands for you. It comes in two editions, Fabric and NeoForge.

What's in it

The vanilla game, with fantasy woven in.

  • New realms

Build a glowstone portal and fill it with water to reach the Aether, floating islands with dungeons and bosses. Enderscape fills the outer End with new biomes, creatures and structures.

  • Twelve bosses

Twelve in each edition. Every one you defeat gives you an eye, and the End portal takes all twelve.

  • Magic

Spells from the Wizards and Elemental Wizards mods, cast with runes you craft.

  • Villagers with errands

RPG Villagers, RPG Dialogue and RPG Errands give villagers things to say and errands to hand out.

  • New lands

Biomes from Nature's Spirit, trees from Oh The Trees You'll Grow, and Galosphere's crystal caves.

  • Lost kingdoms

Taverns, dungeons and the ruins of old kingdoms across the overworld.

  • Armor

Medieval sets from Fantasy Armor, crafted at the crafting table at every vanilla tier.

  • A harder dragon

The Ender Dragon fights harder, and YUNG's mods rebuild the strongholds and the End island.

  • Building

Furniture from Handcrafted and Let's Do Furniture, and Chipped's block variants.

  • A new title screen

Commissioned for the pack: a bookshelf whose books are the buttons.

  • Gear at a glance

Equipment Compare shows new gear beside what you're wearing, so you can tell which is better.

  • Performance

Sodium, Lithium, ModernFix and other performance mods, built in.

Twelve eyes

Eyes of Ender still lead you to the stronghold, but they won't fit the portal. It takes twelve other eyes, one from each of twelve bosses. Once you have all twelve, right-click a portal frame and they fly into place.

The Aether's Valkyrie Queen and Sun Spirit are in both editions. The other ten bosses are different in each.

Questions

Which version of Minecraft does Fantasy MC use?

Minecraft: Java Edition 1.21.1. Fantasy MC 1.0 comes in two editions, one for Fabric and one for NeoForge. It doesn't run on Bedrock Edition, so not on consoles or phones.

Should I play the Fabric or the NeoForge edition?

Both are the same game with different bosses: twelve in each, two of them shared. Pick either, or play both to fight all 22.

How do I get to the End in Fantasy MC?

Defeat twelve bosses. Each one gives you a different eye, and once you have all twelve, right-click an End portal frame and the eyes fly into place. Eyes of Ender still lead you to the stronghold, but they won't fit the frame.

Is Fantasy MC hard?

Your first days play like vanilla Minecraft. The challenge is the bosses, and an Ender Dragon that fights harder than vanilla's.

Can I play Fantasy MC with friends?

Yes. Rent a server from BisectHosting (code PIXELDREAM takes 25% off your first month), host the server pack yourself, or open your world to LAN: the pack includes e4mc, which gives you an address friends can join from anywhere.

What changed in Fantasy MC 1.0?

Version 1.0 rebuilds the pack from the ground up, around the vanilla game. Origins and the quest book from earlier versions are gone, and the End now opens with the eyes of twelve bosses.

Who makes Fantasy MC?

Pixel Dream Studios, a team of modders from around the world. It started in 2021 as FantasyCraft, a pack made for playing with friends.
